Valens Therapeutics is a pharmaceutical company focused on the development of peptide-based therapeutics for the treatment of neovascular diseases including certain pathological conditions in the eye and cancer where proliferation of new blood vessels occurs due to abnormal angiogenesis. The Company’s initial focus will be on ophthalmologic disorders which offers major opportunities for improved therapies. Valens peptide-based anti-angiogenic technology offers an alternative treatment with unique characteristics not observed in the available non-peptide based ocular therapies.
